64-årig dansker dræbt i Thailand: Faldt gennem taget
En 64-årig dansker meldes død i Thailand efter at være faldet gennem taget på en vens hus, rapporterer det lokale medie Pattaya One.
Hændelsen skal ifølge mediet være sket torsdag.
Den 64-årige mand var angiveligt på besøg hos en jævnaldrende italiensk ven for at se på et problem med husets tag.
Danskeren bliver af Pattaya One beskrevet som tidligere bygningsarbejder, men da taget på vennens hus brød sammen, skal han være faldet tre etager ned.
Ifølge det thailandske medie har den danske ambassade i den thailandske hovedstad Bangkok kontaktet mandens familie i Danmark og overbragt nyheden om mandens død.

Danish man Falls through roof and dies at Jomtien Guesthouse
A 64 year old Danish man died after he fell through the roof of his friends Guesthouse located in Na-Jomtien on Thursday morning.
The incident occurred at the Royal Court Guesthouse in the Na-Jomtien area, which is owned by an Italian, Mr. Bell aged 62. Soon after the accident, the victim’s Thai wife, Khun Wanida aged 23, arrived and it was revealed that Mr. John Hømlund had gone to the Guesthouse to help his friend who reported a problem with his roof.
Mr. Hømlund previously worked as a builder in Denmark and called a Thai friend to come and check the problem on the roof. The Thai man failed to arrive and Mr. Hømlund decided to climb onto the roof and check the problem himself.
Suddenly he crashed through the roof, cutting his leg and neck as he fell onto the floor of a 3rd floor apartment. Mr. Hømlund was rendered unconscious and soon stopped breathing.
The Danish Embassy in Bangkok has been informed as his Thai Wife and family in Denmark come to terms with their loss.
