Once-busy Siam Square in Bangkok was eerily quiet on Friday amid a tourism slow-down due to Covid-19.

Footage from the Siam Square centre in the heart of the Thailand capital shows that many shops have been shuttered and closed.

Shopping malls had previously been packed with tourists from China but holiday travel was stopped in March last year and restrictions are still in place.
